I · Private Testing

Still being built, with room for careful testers.

Kanora is a personal project in active development. There is no release date, price, or chosen distribution route yet, but anyone comfortable with unfinished software can try the current builds.

II · Testing Access

Open to careful testers

Useful feedback at the pace the project can support.

I build Kanora in the time available around work and family. Testing is open to anyone comfortable with unfinished software who can tell me what worked, what failed, and what felt confusing.

What private testing means

  • ◆Email access@kanora.app with the devices you use. I am building Kanora on my own and set people up by hand, so there is no fixed turnaround, and I cannot take everyone on at once.
  • ◆Features, library formats, and interface details may change while the foundations settle.
  • ◆There is no public beta schedule, release date, price, or chosen distribution route.
  • ◆The iPhone, iPad and Android apps work on their own, but most testing involves the Mac app too, because it hosts the library the other devices stream from.
  • ◆iPhone and iPad builds take longer: each device has to be added to a build before it can install, so your first one arrives with the next build.
  • ◆An AI model reads your email only to work out which devices you asked for. It does not decide who gets access; I do.
III · Why I'm Building It

A personal project, taken seriously.

Kanora began with the music library I wanted and a question about how far one developer could take an idea with current AI tooling. Over roughly eight months it has grown into this website, a support desk, the private dashboard I work from, a family of Apple apps, and a Raspberry Pi web kiosk.

That breadth still needs patient testing. Kanora is also a portfolio piece and an ongoing experiment in building ambitious software in limited time, so a few useful conversations make more sense than putting a price and a date on work that is not ready for either.

IV · Questions

The honest answers for now.

Can I try Kanora now?

Possibly. Email access@kanora.app and say which devices you use: Mac, iPhone or iPad, or Android. You will get an automatic reply so you know it arrived. If it is a good fit for what I am testing right now, I will email you with how to install.

What should I include when I get in touch?

Just the devices you use. If you would like to tell me about your music collection or any older audio hardware you want to try with Kanora, that is welcome too, and I read every one.

What will Kanora cost?

I have not decided. The pricing model is still open, and private testing is not a promise about a future price or release.

Will it come through the App Store?

The distribution route is also undecided. I am still considering the App Store alongside a notarized direct Mac build, and I do not want this page to imply that choice has been made.
